Tirana, 20 June 2025 – CRCA/ECPAT Albania has initiated a series of informative meetings with Public Vocational Training Centres across the country, as part of the regional project “Digital Response to Unemployment Problems in the Western Balkans” (DRUPWB). The meetings aim to present and promote a new professional training curriculum designed to enhance youth employment opportunities through technology.
In recent days, the CRCA/ECPAT Albania team visited the Public Vocational Training Centre No.1 in Tirana, as well as the centres in Durrës and Elbasan, where the new curriculum was introduced. The initiative received strong interest and positive feedback from instructors, who praised the curriculum as a concrete and much-needed tool to prepare young people for a labor market increasingly shaped by technological innovation.
The curriculum, structured around four comprehensive modules, targets unemployed youth, particularly those from the NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) category. It aims to equip them not only with foundational knowledge of emerging technologies but also with practical skills in entrepreneurship, customer and financial management, payroll systems, and the use of digital tools to build new professions aligned with evolving digital market trends.
Designed for integration into both formal education systems and non-formal training programs, the curriculum supports the modernization of vocational training systems across the region, helping them respond to labor market demands and technological developments.
The curriculum is currently being implemented across all six Western Balkan countries and will soon be digitized and made accessible online, providing young people with open access to resources that support tech-based employment and entrepreneurship.
Through this initiative, CRCA/ECPAT Albania reaffirms its commitment to standing by youth—offering practical solutions aligned with the demands of the digital economy and modern workforce.
